Shipping & Roast Schedule
How a sack of green coffee in our warehouse becomes a fresh roast on your kitchen counter, and what it costs to do so well.
We are a small roastery. We do not warehouse weeks-old coffee in service of next-day delivery. Instead we roast on a fixed cadence, ship the same week, and design our schedule around freshness rather than urgency.
Every order is roasted on the next available Tuesday after it is placed. If you order on a Saturday, your beans are roasted three days later. If you order on a Wednesday, you wait six. We are aware this is not how the rest of the internet works.
Once roasted, beans are bagged on Wednesday morning, given a few hours to settle, and posted Wednesday afternoon. Domestic orders typically arrive within two to four business days from dispatch. International orders take seven to fourteen, depending on the customs mood of the receiving country.
Rates
We do not subsidise shipping by inflating bag prices. The numbers below are what it costs us to send the parcel; we mark up nothing.

Shipping is included on all subscription tiers. Orders over $80 within the continental United States ship at no additional charge.
The roast schedule
- Orders placed Wednesday through Monday are roasted the following Tuesday.
- Orders placed Tuesday before noon are roasted the same day. After noon, they roll to next week.
- Beans are packed Wednesday morning and dispatched Wednesday afternoon.
- You will receive a tracking note once the package leaves our roastery.
- Bank holidays slip the schedule by one day; we will tell you when they do.
Beans rest best for forty-eight to seventy-two hours after roasting. We suggest you give them that quiet stretch of time before grinding.
Returns and revisions
If anything arrives damaged, stale, or otherwise wrong, write to us within fourteen days and we will make it right — usually with a replacement, sometimes with a refund, occasionally with both. We are small enough that this conversation happens with a person, not a form.
